I have been Part of the Northlake Montessori team since March 2015. I have worked with kids of a variety of ages. I was a Pre-Tod teacher for 1.5 years and a Pre-K4 teacher for 2 years! It has been a pleasure to be able to be a part of each child’s life through every stage! I’m so excited to start this fall as the Lead Pre-K3 teacher! I have learned so much from every teacher I have worked with and am looking to bring my knowledge and love for the Montessori philosophy to Pre-K3.
During my high School years, I maintained a STEM heavy curriculum but fell in love with history and the Social sciences (including Childhood Psychology). This led to me being a Political Science Major during my first years of college, during college my passion for foreign countries and their languages grew stronger. This led me to learning a variety of languages such as Japanese, Mandarin, Korean and most recently French, in addition to my native language, Castilian (Spanish). I am continuing my education at Lake Washington Tech, obtaining my Early Childhood Education certificates. I currently have finished my initial certificate and am now working towards my short and state certificates.
When I’m not in the classroom, I’m probably on a trip or planning my next trip. My love for languages; which I strongly believe help open doors, especially when travelling; has led me to travel to a few countries! I have been to Peru, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Canada, Greece, U.K, and France. My husband and I look forward to visiting a couple more countries the coming year but have yet to decide which!
I am a recently married woman as of 04/27/2019, My husband Will and I have two fur babies, Rosie a young labradoodle and Sophie an Australian Shepherd. We love to take our pups on walks, especially to the Marymoor dog park. I enjoy doodling, collecting stickers and caring for my plants! I have been Plant based for over 4years and I love animals of all kinds. I strive to teach our kiddos to show kindness to even the littlest of critters!
My goal as a Pre-K teacher is to help our kids be able to express themselves, ask questions and follow directions, to help them grow into well rounded individuals!
I look forward to getting to know all of you and your children and be able to provide a happy, fun and safe environment. If you have any questions or need any help please don’t be afraid to reach out.
